Early or late retirement
At the J&J Pension Fund OFP Customer Contact Center , we find that there is often confusion about retiring at the state pension (AOW) age or at 68 years, the standard retirement age at J&J Pension Fund OFP. However, you can choose your own retirement date and, within certain limits, you may also retire earlier or later. Read more below.
Would you like to retire early?
It is possible to retire as of 10 years before your AOW-benefit age. Your monthly pension benefit will be lower. Your pension accrual will stop earlier and it will need tobe paid over more years. If you retire early, you will not yet receive any old age pension from the state (AOW).
Would you like to retire late?
It is possible to retire within 5 years after your AOW-benefit age. Your monthly pension benefit will be higher. Your pension will need to be paid over less years. If you retire later, you will also receive old age pension from the state (AOW).
Would you like to know the amount you will receive if you retire earlier or later?
With the planner in My Pension, you can make sample calculations. This will immediately show you the impact on the amount of your pension benefit.
What should you do?
- Agree things clearly with your employer well in advance.
- If you want to retire before the age of 68, please contact us no later than 6months before the date on which you wish to retire.
