Leaving the company

If you move to another job or you stop working, what happens to your pension?

Share your private email address
We don't have your private email address yet? Give us your private email address via My pension. You can register your private email address in 3 steps. Then you won’t miss any important information about your pension, even if you move to another job or retire.

Your employer will cancel your participation
Your salary will cease and you will no longer pay any pension contributions to J&J Pension Fund OFP. You will receive a pension overview from us. After that, you will find this overview (Uniform Pension Overview or ‘UPO’) every year on My pension, in ‘Mijn Archief’. Once every 5 years, we will send you an overview of your pension by post. Did you not opt for digital and do we not have your private email address? Once every 5 years, we will then send you an overview of your pension by post.

Our pension fund does not have an indexation ambition
There is no targeted indexation policy and no ambition to grant annual supplements (also referred to as indexation) on pension rights (pensions in payment for pension beneficiaries) and pension entitlements (deferred entitlements for former participants). Former participants and pension beneficiaries should assume that they will not receive an annual supplement.

Each year, after consulting the board of directors of J&J Pension Fund OFP, the employer will decide whether a supplement will be granted on the pension entitlements of deferred participants, entitlements to a special partner’s pension of former partners and the pension rights of pension beneficiaries, taking into consideration the financial position of the Dutch section of J&J Pension Fund OFP.

What else can you arrange?

  • Are you changing employer and moving to another pension fund or pension insurer? Then you can move your ‘old’ pension to your new pension plan. This is called transfer of accrued pension benefits.
  • Do you have a small pension? (a pension less than € 613,52 each year (2025). Then the pension fund is allowed to commute this amount to your new pension administrator.
